Carlos Whittaker Podcast

April 29th, 2010  |  Published in Banter, Podcast  |  15 Comments

This week we interviewed Carlos Whittaker.  Lately, he’s had a lot of time in the spotlight, with his son’s realization that he is in fact NOT a single lady, and the release of his new full length Album, Ragamuffin Soul.

We talk about Mega Churches, Haters, T-shirts, touring, adoption, family, intentional relationships, our mothers and…. Jesus.  Oh, and of course, we talked about Andy’s love for Ellen.

During the Podcast we talked about a blog that Carlos put up 2 years ago on Easter.  You can find that exact blog here.

Carlos is a down to earth man, who really has a heart for worshiping Jesus Christ.  What he’s doing with online networking, his music, and his attention to family is admirable.

Yeah, that was a logitech headset that Tattood1 was using for the show. We're working on getting some more mics. We appreciate you listening!

I dunno about you, but I get certain impressions of people, like Los, just from words, not knowing much about them at all. I call em impressions, not judgements. Over the last 60 minutes or so I have gained much respect for the dude. Honestly, for the most part, cuz I didn't see it happening. Good stuff though! Love the album.
Oh and the last 8 minutes or so of the podcast simply blew me away…..blown…..away. Wow! And that's all I gotsta say about that.

We already have a replacement in the works so…we will see how it goes on the next one.

Same here. I've talked to him before – but I know the impressions you get reading peoples stuff is totally different when you actually talk to them. It was a lot of fun.

Love ya & miss ya, Toby!!!

And for anyone that would like the real context around the sound bite that was so gratuitously used in this podcast:

In an upcoming show, we will be interviewing Andrew Marin, author of "Love is an Orientation." Andrew is the founder of The Marin Foundation, "an organization that works to build a bridge between the religious and Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender (GLBT) communities in a non-threatening, research and biblically oriented fashion. " (From the website:http://www.themarinfoundation.org/ )
